• 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak for 30 minutes
• 2. Take 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice
• 3. Add 1 tablespoon of butter/oil and salt as per taste
• 4. Bring water and rice to a boil
• 5. Cover pan with a tight lid and simmer for 8-9 minutes
• 6. Remove from heat and allow it to stand covered for 5 minutes
